\nJedes Jahr Anfang Juni verwandelt sich N\u00fcrnberg zusammen mit dem N\u00fcrburgring in die Rockhauptstadt Deutschlands. Scharren von Menschen erobern das Gel\u00e4nde rund um den Dutzendteich und lassen sich von den momentanen Chartst\u00fcrmern musikalisch berieseln.
\nNat\u00fcrlich war auch ich dieses Jahr wieder vertreten. Der Donnerstag stand ganz im Zeichen der Anreise.<\/p>\n

Nachdem man sein Zelt aufgeschlagen hatte, wurde das erste Bierchen ge\u00f6ffnet und in geselliger Runde das ein oder andere Themachen besprochen. Gegen Abend wurden dann noch die B\u00e4ndchen abgeholt, welche zum Einlass berechtigen.<\/p>\n

Am Freitagmorgen ging es erst einmal in das \u00f6rtliche Schwimmbad. Es sind zwar Toiletten und Duschen auf dem Festivalgel\u00e4nde vorhanden, jedoch weist das Schwimmbad einen h\u00f6heren Sauberkeitsgrad auf. Auch die Schlangen sind erheblich k\u00fcrzer. Am Freitagnachmittag dann traten auch die ersten Bands bei herrlichem Sommerwetter auf. H\u00f6hepunkte waren wohl \u0084The Subways\u0093, \u0084MIA.\u0093, \u0084The Kooks\u0093 und \u0084Black Stone Cherry\u0093.<\/p>\n

Der Samstagmorgen begann eigentlich wieder wie der Freitagmorgen. Ab ins Schwimmbad, etwas essen in der Stadt und dann zur\u00fcck zum Festivalgel\u00e4nde. Leider verschlechterte sich das Wetter schon etwas. Trotzdem verging der Spa\u00df auf dem Festivalgel\u00e4nde nicht. H\u00f6hepunkte an diesem Tag waren \u0084Razorlight\u0093, \u0084Placebo\u0093 und \u0084The Killers\u0093.<\/p>\n

Der letzte Tag des Festivals hatte es wettertechnisch in sich. Zwei Sturzregen ergossen sich \u00fcber N\u00fcrnberg. War man von dem ersten wieder getrocknet, legte der zweite noch einmal richtig nach. Ich m\u00f6chte nicht wissen, wie viel Leute die n\u00e4chste Woche krank waren. Eigentlich ein erheblicher Schaden f\u00fcr die Volkswirtschaft. Bandtechnische H\u00f6hepunkte am letzten Tag waren \u0084Flogging Molly\u0093, \u0084Bloc Party\u0093 und \u0084Jan Delay\u0093.<\/p>\n

Am Montagmorgen wurde dann das Zelt abgebaut und es ging zur\u00fcck nach Hause. Was f\u00fcr ein Wochenende. Gott sei Dank stand jetzt noch eine Woche Urlaub an.<\/p>\n

\nEvery year at the beginning of June the city of Nuremberg and the Nurburgring are becoming the rock capital of Germany. Millions of people are occupying the area around the Dutzend Lake and listening to the music live from the stages.<\/p>\n

Of course, there was not any reason that I was not at this festival as well this year. Thursday was the day of arriving. First of all the tent had to build up. If this was done, the first cans of beer could be opened and a joyful evening could start. The last task of that day was getting the wristbands which are the entry ticket for the festival.<\/p>\n

On Friday morning some of us went to the public swimming pool. Of course, there are toilets and showers at the festival area, but the swimming pool is better maintained from a hygiene perspective. Also the queues were not so long. On Friday afternoon we went then to the stages and enjoyed the music under a blue and sunny sky. Highlights of that day were \u0084The Subways\u0093, \u0084MIA.\u0093, \u0084The Kooks\u0093 and \u0084Black Stone Cherry\u0093.<\/p>\n

Saturday morning was the same like Friday morning. Swimming Pool, some food in town and back to the festival area. Unfortunately the weather was getting shity, but there was also a lot of fun near the stages. Highlights of that day were \u0084Razorlight\u0093, \u0084Placebo\u0093 and \u0084The Killers\u0093.<\/p>\n

The last day of festival was really bad from a weather perspective. Two thunderstorms were coming over Nuremberg. You can imagine that a lot of people getting wet. I don’t want to know how many were getting sick in the week after. But doesn’t matter, the highlights of that day were \u0093Flogging Molly\u0093, \u0093Bloc Party\u0093 and \u0093Jan Delay\u0093.<\/p>\n
