Snowy Easter!

Easter is normally the celebration of spring in Germany. The trees and flowers become green, so that the people use the days for a long walk in the nature.

But this year Easter was complete different. It was cold and snowy. Everybody was looking for a little bit of sun. It’s absolutely crazy! Here is a picture of my today’s walk to work …

    1. Believe me! It’s like Christmas without candles and Glühwein. But the temperatures are the same …

We have a public holiday on the 1st May. We are celebrating on that day the „Day of Work“ and „Men’s Day“. On Men’s Day a lot of people (especially the men) get drunk and have a day off on the next day. So the 2nd May is more a unofficial holiday.

And yes, I miss SA. But not because the public holidays 😉

  1. Hi Tino – when I see this photo I do NOT miss Germany at all but will survive rainy cold days and having to wear socks again soon…. How long does it take you to walk to work? Hope you miss all of us!!

    1. Hi Uta – it does not sound like South Africa. Wasn’t it the land of sun? Now it seems more the land of socks, umbrellas and tea 😉

Currently I need an hour to walk to work. It sounds long, but I am enjoying it. Especially if the air is clean and you have footways for the pedestrians 😉
