Es ist schon komisch. Alle Paket bis auf eins hatten meine Wohnung in Bad Vilbel gefunden. Ausgerechnet das mit dem Bierbrauerkit musste ich beim Zoll abholen. Es soll sich in diesem nämlich Ware aus Drittländern befinden. Jedenfalls meinte es der Brief, den ich gestern in meinem Briefkasten fand.
Also machte ich mich heute morgen nach Oberursel auf, wo es das zuständige Zollamt gab. Dort angekommen, wurde auch sofort das Paket präsentiert und gefragt, was denn darin enthalten sei:
„Das sind Umzugssachen! Eine Schlafmatratze, eine Personenwaage, eine weiße Tonne und ein wenig Kleidung!“ Anscheinend war dies nicht ausreichend genug, so dass die Zöllnerin das Öffnen des Paketes verlangte. Ich kam der Aufforderung nach und tatsächlich waren nur persönliche Dinge enthalten. Damit war es dann für sie erledigt und ich brauchte keinen Zoll zu bezahlen.
Damit sind alle Pakete jetzt bei mir angekommen und ich kann eine hundertprozentige Erfolgsrate von der südafrikanischen Post vermelden. Weiter so!

I was sending six parcels from ZA and only five parcels were arriving my home. Yesterday I could find a letter in my mail box. The local custom asked me to declare the content of a parcel which were arriving them.
So I drove to Oberursel today. In this town you can find the local custom. At the custom I was asked about the content. I did know that the parcel contained the beer brewery kit. Preventing complications I told to the custom women:
„There is only removal stuff inside! A sleeping bag, my personal scale, a white ton … all private stuff!“ But the custom women did not believe me, so I had to open the parcel. At the first glance the content of the parcel were looking like private stuff. So I could leave the custom without paying anything.
In total all six parcels were arriving my home. SAPS had a 100% success rate. Well done!
